ADOPTION TIPS
A few relevant considerations to keep in mind before adopting a dog from author of The Holistic Dog Laura Benko:
· Always ask how the dog ended up in the shelter.
· Does he or she have any special needs?
· Does the dog get along with other dogs?
· Does the dog get along with other pets?
· Is the dog housebroken?
· Does the dog get along with children?
· Ask to take the dog for a walk. It’s a good way of getting to know their demeanor and if they need more training.
