When I think of Gary Busey, it’s hard to imagine him on the right side of the law. Much less as someone measured, deliberately considered in their judgement. But hey, I am not the producers of PET JUDGE, Vaughn Land & Cattle, who have created a six part series coming to Amazon later in May with the actor I remember from LETHAL WEAPON as a criminally insane drug dealer. But look at TIGER KING on Netflix, when it comes to animals and reality series’, anything goes.

THIS PET JUDGE IS THIRSTY FOR JUSTICE
So what’s it all about? Apparently, each year across the country there are thousands of pet disputes. It doesn’t take much imagination to realize that things can get crazy really quickly, pet parents - the ones that are turning to Busey to decide - are as volatile as any wild species, surely a rabid pack on occasion. You’ll get your chance to judge how this Pet Judge rules, lap it up, we hear he is thirsty for justice, starting May 25, 2020 when binge-watching begins on Amazon Prime and other streaming services.

Each half-hour show presents two cases with a veritable menagerie of animals including monkeys, goats, birds, dogs, meerkats, turtles, robot raccoons, and more. Is Gary Busey a real judge?  Apparently not although he has been anointed a Pet Judge by the State of California. So what’s his experience in pet law? He is it appears, remarkably prescient. He can “look into your soul and suss out your spirit animal while delivering a verdict with a trademark Buseyism.” Really? “You bet your sweet ass (the donkey kind).”

FIGHTING FOR THE FUTURE OF FUR KIDS
We will see plaintiffs and defendants locked in heated battle as they fight for the future of their pets. But Judge Busey is not alone. He is aided in his job by Mike E. Winfield as the voice-of-reason bailiff; Ian Abramson who caps each case with thought-provoking exit interviews, and Shadoe Stevens who lends “dulcet gravitas” to the entire venture.

Ready for these manic moments? The show’s producers guarantee you are not. Why? Gary Busey it seems “puts the kangaroo in kangaroo court.”

Gary Busey has been preparing for this job his entire life. Sure, he starred in POINT BREAK and LETHAL WEAPON, but we are asked to ponder, did any of his blockbuster films require him to determine whether a cat should have a Viking funeral? Not until now. This Pet Judge is about to dish out some serious pet justice. Feel free to watch with your fur kid, they’ll get a laugh for sure.
